This vintage fine china teapot, is beautifully decorated in the pattern referred to as Blue Onion. It was made for Vienna Woods, by the famous Seymour Mann. This particular one was made in 1992. The scrolling floral designs are done on a white background, in hues of blue, with a dark navy blue outline and shadowing, with a soft cobalt and a softer pale cornflower blue filling in the designs. It is sleek and shapely in an almost hourglass configuration. The handle resembles a fancy flourish and the spout looks as though it is a part of the teapot rather than simply affixed to it, giving it a more upright stance. Because of this design it may also be used as a pitcher. It is in excellent vintage condition!
From handle to spout it measures 6.5″, and it is 3.5″ wide at the base, and it is 7.5″ tall
