What an elegant statement ring! The substantial ring is made from 14K rose gold, with partial hallmark visible, and another mark that appears to be illegible. The stone is much darker, color is much more saturated and deep, than it appears in the photos. It is nigh impossible to capture the color, as well as the color change properties of this lovely stone. It is an oval cut, faceted 3.10 dwt synthetic sapphire. This type of jewel was first used in 1911. Rose gold was first used in the 1800’s Russia, by Faberge. Nice vintage condition, with small, normal wear markings throughout, which should be expected on a piece that is a century old!
